10 Home Remedies for Fibroids

10 Home Remedies for Fibroids
Do you have a problem with fibroids? These home remedies will help you get rid of those pesky fibroids.
Uterine fibroids also known as leiomyomata, are noncancerous growths that develop in or just outside of a woman’s uterus. Uterine fibroids develop from normal uterus muscle cells that start growing abnormally, as they grow, they form a benign tumor. These fibroids are very common with women. Most women don’t even notice they have them because they are so small.
Fibroids’ growth seems to depend on the amount of estrogen in females. They don’t develop until after puberty, and usually after the age of 30. Most of the time, these fibroids don’t cause symptoms, but when women do experience symptoms they include:
-Prolonged menstrual periods
-Heavy bleeding during periods
-Bloating or fullness in the belly or pelvis
-Pain in the belly or pelvis
-Constipation
-Pain with intercourse
Home remedies for fibroids
-Castor oil: Castor oil helps stimulate the lymphatic and circulatory systems, and increases lymphocytes to eliminate disease-causing toxins from the body. The buildup of toxins plays an important role in fibroid development. Start with saturating a piece of wool flannel in castor oil, then place it on the abdomen and cover with plastic wrap. Place a heating pad or hot water bottle on it and cover with an old towel, leave for one hour then remove it.
-Milk Thistle: This remedy helps metabolize and get rid of excess estrogen. Estrogen is a reproductive hormone that stimulates cells to release growth factors, which contributes to fibroid growth. Just take 10-25 drops of tincture for 3 times a day.
-Dandelion: Dandelions aid in liver detoxification and clears excess estrogen from the body. First, boil 3 tablespoons of dandelion root in 3 and 1/2 cups of water. Let the mixture sit for 15 minutes, then turn the off and allow it to steep for another 15 minutes.
-Green tea: Studies have indicated that green tea contains a compound called Epigallocatechin gallate inhibits growth of fibroid cells, eventually increasing their death rate. EGCG contain anti-inflammatory, antiproliferative and antioxidant effects. Researchers have found that in addition to reducing the size of fibroids, green tea can reduce the severity of fibroid symptoms. All you have to do is drink 2-3 cups of green tea or take 400 mg green tea capsules.
-Milk: researchers from the Boston University School of Medicine found black women who consumed four or more dairy servings a day had 30 percent reduced incidence of uterine fibroids compared to those who consumed less than one serving a day. Mix 1-2 tablespoons of blackstrap molasses in three-quarters cup of warm milk and drink it once or twice a day.
-Chasteberry: Is also known as Vitex agnus-castus, is native to southern Europe and the Mediterranean areas. This is an excellent herbal solution to maintain hormonal balance, lower estrogen levels ad reduce inflammation. Just take 25-30 drops of chaste berry tincture 2-4 times a day.
-Apple cider vinegar: ACV helps reduce symptoms because it helps remove toxins from the body and promotes fat loss. First, add one teaspoon or organic ACV to a glass of water and drink it on a daily basis.
-Garlic: Garlic contains natural antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties that discourage the growth of tumors and uterine fibroids. Eat 3-5 garlic cloves a day.
-Indian gooseberry: This is a natural antioxidant and immunomodulatory and is an excellent Ayurvedic remedy to reduce fibroids and their symptoms. First, mix together 1 teaspoon of gooseberry powder and honey, then consume it daily.
-Burdock root tea: This root improves the liver’s ability to metabolize estrogen, which reduces fibroids. Being high in the lignan arctigenin, it can reduce the size of fibroids and inhibit new growth. Just add 1 teaspoon of dried burdock to one cup of hot water and let it steep for 10-15 minutes, then strain.
